The Expedition ft. Eli Cutting
Myth of I
MYTH OF I is an instrumental progressive metal band based out of Boston, MA, USA. They are striving to take an innovative next step in the progressive music world. With influences ranging from all spectrums of sound, they aim to give a unique cosmic twist to the ordered chaos they consistently produce. Think Tosin Abasi, Joe Hisaishi and a cat walk into a particle accelerator. You might want to call the resulting aural mayhem Angry Jazz or even Technical Support Metal.
After signing with the renowned extreme metal label, The Artisan Era, the band released their eponymous debut album on April 10th, 2020, which garnered attention from prominent online media outlets such as Decibel Magazine and Metal Injection:
“We feel this album is an authentic representation of both our playing and sound, and we hope it resonates with you all as much as it does with us.” Myth of I told Decibel. “We put many years into this project to help shape and redefine what we see to be the next step in the progressive metal scene. It’s an eclectic album with influences from all over the world and is sure to be something you can’t find anywhere else.”
The future looks bright for Myth of I, as they have just released two stand-alone singles with vocals, “The Expedition” and “Naïveté”, that feature exceptional performances by guest vocalists Eli Cutting (Lattermath) and Michael Lessard (The Contortionist) respectively, and there's a lot more in the works...
